Just these days, I’ve been hooked up with online shopping. It started with some tech stuff shopping but slowly I shifted and became addicted with t-shirt shopping online. They are not those branded tees over the net that I have grown addicted of, but these are indie clothing companies that are still trying to make a name in the apparel industry. With my addiction, I already bought a number of shirts online and just recently; I purchased one from this certain indie line named Mermollie Ink. By the time my package arrived I was but very pleased with my new shirt. The cloth was very fine and the print was very nice. I mean by quality and by style, the shirt was a winner. After which, I really didn’t mind the costly shipping fee, there was no regrets about purchasing such shirt from an indie clothing line. So, I then decided to research about Mermollie Ink for this blog.

Like most clothing brands, Mermollie Ink started from scratch and from sheer inspiration. Their works are but just results of their past time way back when they were still in college. Ink is precious, but not for doodlers. Strokes and work of art were only limited to the back of their notebooks at that time. It was just a bunch of ideas and emotions translated into art and life through doodling. But it didn’t take long before they took a step further.
In the year 2008, this group of talented young people decided to put their works into action and decided to set up their DIY web comic entitled The Chronicles of Mermo. The fun was there and the potential is already apparent. Although short lived due to time constraints to maintain The Chronicles of Mermo, this served as their stepping stone to yet another big move forward.
Egged on by their friends and families, their custom design team decided to take it to a whole new level and decided to go fulltime from paper to fabric by 2009. From shoes, caps, bags and shirts they took advantage and tried to put on their works in a customized fashion. Admittedly at first they had a hard time trying to keep up with the demands from those who have patronized and loved their designs and works. Believe it or not, they started did all of their works with the use of acrylic paint at that time. Sweat, blood, time and effort was pretty much invested to make sure that every design and detail was taken note of and that every design was made unique. By October the same year, they have discovered and had knowledge of using the technique of silk printing. With much research and work ethic, Mermollie Ink was born.
Their works are but an output of pure hard work and independence. Mermollie Ink now is a growing clothing line that is starting to make a name and garner much popularity from the indie clothing industry. Slowly but surely taking everything step by step, they had learned so much and have continued to produce quality works as evidenced by the products they manufacture. After words were spreading about Mermollie Ink, merchandise meet-ups were almost a part of their everyday living. Thus The Pick-up Shop was created for the convenience of interested buyers as well as for their crew. And for shipping needs, The Pick-up Shop Express is ready for your orders.
“Mermollie INK. a Philippine based apparel company out to grab the world by the head and introduce the taste of gorelicious. It’s not for everyone and that makes our products stand out from the rest; wearable and non-toxic for all ages.”
